The Clarient Group acquires Labrador Technology’s Corporate Design & Management Practice

New York, NY – February 2018

The merged entity combines TCG’s traditional strengths in residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments; educational, health care, and cultural facilities; and government/public projects with Labrador’s strengths serving the corporate workplace marketplace.

The Clarient Group, LLC (TCG), a leading technology planning, design, and consulting firm recently acquired the corporate design and project management practice of Labrador Technology, Inc. (Labrador), a New York-based IT solutions company that has been servicing the corporate workplace market since 2000. Labrador’s design services group has been absorbed into TCG, and the combined company now operates as The Clarient Group out of TCG’s New York and New Jersey offices.

Charles Buscarino, TCG’s president and CEO, highlighted the driving force behind the merger. ”The two companies had a lot in common – in the services we provide and our approach to advancing our clients’ visions. Both view technology not as the end goal, but as a tool to be leveraged to address critical business issues – like increasing revenue, controlling costs, and creating superior end-user experiences. In addition, both firms believed in providing a truly integrative approach to technology systems. It’s rare to find two complementary teams so closely aligned, so when this opportunity arose, we moved quickly to make it happen.”

Thomas Bradbury, founder and CEO of Labrador, expressed the benefits to their clients and employees. ”This is an exciting opportunity to serve our corporate clients with the talents of two outstanding companies that share common values and approach to business. It really was going to take a special company for me to entrust my clients to. It also will give employees of both Labrador and TCG exciting opportunities to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the industry.” Mr. Bradbury will remain with TCG in a consultative and advisory role, allowing him to ensure the smooth transition of Labrador’s current clients, projects, and commitments to TCG while also pursuing new business opportunities in the burgeoning field of workplace user experience that has gained traction over the past 18 months. Bradbury continued by saying “I am so excited to work with Charlie on seeing through this transition while also having the ability to spend more time on WorkplaceUX™, which has really become my passion. This really is a win-win for everyone.”

Buscarino noted that the merger, less than a month old, has already resulted in new projects for TCG. ”By acquiring Labrador’s design services group, TCG now offers expanded, enhanced, and complementary resources to serve the ever-growing and increasingly complex technology needs of developers, corporations, institutions, and public entities. I’m confident the new contracts we’ve signed will be the first of many ”.
