PROJECT PROFILE
QC Terme is one of Italy’s premier operators of spas and destination resorts, providing their guests with a total wellness experience. They selected Governor’s Island in New York Harbor as the location of their first wellness center outside of Italy. They are renovating three historic buildings with a total of 47,000 square feet on the north end of the island with views of the harbor and the lower Manhattan skyline.
The Clarient Group is providing IT infrastructure and security systems design services for the conversion of these buildings into a wellness spa. The facility will include treatment rooms for a complete variety of spa functions, massage rooms, baths, sauna and steam rooms, locker rooms, a retail area, lounge and cafe. Additionally, the site includes outdoor area surrounded by the buildings with a pool.
Because of its historic nature, all work must comply with current preservation requirements and no alterations to building exteriors can take place.
Based on the success of Phase 1, The Clarient Group is currently working on Phase 2 – which is estimated to be completed in July 2024 and Phase 3 estimated to be completed in Spring of 2025.
