PROJECT PROFILE

Wake Forest University demolished the existing west side bleachers at Groves Stadium and built a new seven story, 125,000 sq. ft. facility with expanded functionality over the previous structure. The new facility is multi functional and operates 5 – 6 days a week, all year round. It is a sophisticated broadcast and multimedia location with technology distributed throughout several broadcast rooms, guest suites, lounges, Presidential Box, etc. It also accommodates several VIPs during game days and other events that needed to be secured from the general public.

The Clarient Group provided security consulting and design services for the new Groves Stadium as outlined below. The security systems scope consisted of the perimeter and interior protection of the athletic facility. This was coordinated with systems located in other facilities (i.e., the Police Command Center). We worked with the Athletic department, IT group, campus police and the rest of the project team as required to identify the appropriate technology, its application in the new facility and integration into the building.

The security system design included the following security elements:

• Perimeter CCTV monitoring, intrusion detection and access control
• Interior CCTV monitoring, intrusion detection, access control and Emergency Telephones
• Security command Center

IT’S NOT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY. IT’S ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS.
