EXPERTTM productizes the firm’s best practices for the planning, design, implementation, and operations of smart buildings into a unified offering for real estate developers and end-user clients.
Scottsdale, Arizona. The Clarient Group (TCG), a leading smart building technology planning, design and consulting firm, announces the launch of the EXPERTTM Method for Smart Building Development. EXPERT, an acronym for EXperience Prioritized for Enabling Real Estate Technology was officially unveiled during the RealComm/iBcon 2021 pre-conference in Scottsdale, Arizona by Charles Buscarino, the CEO and Founder of TCG.
The EXPERTTM method is built upon an understanding of the building’s stakeholders – owners, tenants, individual users, building operations staff – and their interaction with the property throughout a typical day-in-the-life. Interactions include the arrival and departure process, collaboration and concentration activities, refresh and rejuvenation activities, plus building operations functions – including energy efficiency. By understanding these interactions and the potential friction points, where inefficient or unpleasant experiences might occur, we can then develop the Use Cases to address these experiences, resulting in more enjoyable and efficient interaction with the built environment.
Through a series of interviews and questionnaires , the TCG team scores and ranks proposed Use Cases to determine those which are the most impactful and the greatest value. From there, the appropriate technologies, those with the highest composite ranking, can be selected for design and implementation.
“EXPERT is the outcome of the lessons learned by the firm from planning and managing projects with more than six-million square feet of smart buildings. …” says Buscarino. “… It provides a road map by which we can engage the client and develop solutions which are tailored to their specific needs and to the unique characteristics of their properties, operations, and culture.”
“The Clarient Group’s EXPERT Method helps firms address common pain points in procuring smart building technology such as creating a compelling business case and ensuring end-user satisfaction.” Comments Joy Trinquet, Verdantix Smart Building Industry Analyst. “The standardized framework will benefit firms looking to enhance the user experience of a building by pinpointing the technology use cases that reduce friction and unpleasant experiences.”
