Owen Dalton, PE

Mr. Dalton brings to The Clarient Group over eight years of project management and design experience in smart building systems. As the specialty service leader of the integration services group of a major A/E firm, he led multidisciplinary teams of technology consultants, MEP engineers, and data visualization analysts to deliver smart building consulting services for new construction and renovation projects. 

Mr. Dalton has completed smart building projects as a smart building consultant, master systems integrator (MSI), and owner’s representative. He developed CSI Division 25 standards for integrated automation specifications. He led proof of concept contract negotiations with Microsoft’s Azure Digital Twin platform to further realize use cases stemming from integrations with the firm’s smart office campaign. Additionally, he delivered PoE lighting for a commercial office headquarters project with circadian rhythm lighting sequences + occupancy sensor-informed workflow optimization use case.

He is a Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois and holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering: Lighting/ Electrical Systems from Pennsylvania State University.
